Upper Mississippi Mental Health Center is a resource for people who need to gain more control in one or more areas of their lives. We’re community based, but our programs are regional in scope. These programs include Adult and Family Services, Children’s Services, Addictions Recovery, Gambling Addiction Recovery, Home Based Family Services and Sexual Abuse Treatment. We are committed to meeting the therapeutic needs of our clients by being a confidential provider of quality behavioral health services.
As a private non-profit, Rule 29, community mental health center, UMMHC is a valuable resource for our clients in north central Minnesota. With offices in Bemidji and Park Rapids, we see clients from many communities. Our staff participates in area human service collaboratives and work with local courts, county social workers or state program agents. Also, we participate in most health insurance programs, we accept Medical Assistance and Medicare and we receive county & state funds to help with the cost of services for those who do not have insurance.
